Complete Guide to Treating Mastitis in Sows, Taught to Everyone for Free

Improper feeding of sows before and after farrowing can easily cause mastitis. Once mastitis develops, the sow will have no milk, and in severe cases there may even be pus, leaving the piglets with no milk to drink and leading to death. Recently, quite a few friends have asked about mastitis in sows, so below I will share thetreatmentmethods for mastitis.

I. LocalTreatment

1. Aminopyrine + lincomycin + gentamicin + dexamethasone injection, at the base of the udder.
2. Procaine + penicillin injection, at the base of the udder.

II. SystemicTreatment

1. For severe cases in pigs, mix lincomycin + gentamicin + aminopyrine + dexamethasone, dilute with 500ml of normal saline, and inject intravenously.

2. For pigs with mild symptoms, ofloxacin + cephalosporin + dexamethasone injection can be used.

3. Intramuscular injection of penicillin + streptomycin + analgin.
