How Many Days for Pepper Seeds to Sprout? Detailed Guide to Watering and Fertilizing

How many days pepper seedlings need to sprout, and how to water and fertilize them

I. How Many Days the Seedlings Need

There is no precise conclusion on the time needed for pepper seedling raising; it depends on the seedling-raising period and the surrounding climate. If you choose to sow in spring and the surrounding temperature is fairly suitable, buds will appear in about two months, after which the seedlings can be transplanted into the field. If the surrounding climate is unsuitable, the sprouting time will be prolonged, so this time is determined by various factors.

II. Watering and Fertilizing

1. Watering: After sowing, make sure to maintain good moisture. Besides sprinkling water on top, you also need to cover it with plastic film, which helps retain moisture. Once it has grown to a certain extent, it can be moved to the field and then planted out. Note that after planting out it should be watered thoroughly, as this promotes root growth.

2. Fertilizing: During the seedling stage, it has a low demand for fertilizer; simply adding an appropriate amount along with watering is enough to ensure normal growth, especially nitrogen. When it reaches the fruiting stage, the demand for fertilizer increases. When topdressing, note that the ratio should be reasonable, and a single element should not be used alone, otherwise it will affect the plant's growth.
