Sure-fire tricks for treating sows that don't come into heat, remember to save this after reading!
Recently, farmers often ask about sows not coming into heat, saying the sow looks like it can eat and sleep and is very healthy, but just doesn't come into heat, and they don't know what's going on. Actually, it's very simple. Sows not coming into heat is mainly a problem with the uterus, and this is something you can't see. Today I'll explain to farmers how to handle sows that don't come into heat, for farmers' reference:

1. For first-litter sows that don't come into heat, the main reason is that the sow loses too much weight during lactation, especially in some small pig farms, where first-litter sows not coming into heat account for 60% of the total, and if not treated in timetreatmentsome are just culled. This kind of sow must have enhanced nutrition, more exercise, and promoted gastrointestinal absorption.

2. For sows that don't come into heat after multiple litters, treatment should be carried out according to different causestreatment. For metritis, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory treatment is needed; for sows that are too fat or too thin, the feed should be adjusted; for those where no cause can be seen, methods such as changing pens and boar stimulation can be usedtreatment。

3. For gilts that don't come into heat, it is necessary to change pens, use a boar to stimulate the sow, and feed less feed to stimulate estrus, because the sow has never farrowed, so inflammation is not the main cause. Green fodder can be fed to the sow to supplement vitamins and so on.

4. For the above three types of sows that still don't come into heat aftertreatment, estrus-inducing drugs can be used for stimulation, with an effective rate of up to 50%. Beforetreatment, do not directly use estrus-inducing drugs.

5. In winter when it is cold, sows not coming into heat is also normal. The environment must be improved first. Unless absolutely necessary, do not use estrus-inducing powder. If the estrus-inducing powder is Western medicine, it is the hormone pregnant mare serum; if it is traditional Chinese medicine, it is epimedium, actinolite, cyperus rotundus, etc., all of which may affect the sow's physiological functions.

6. If a sow has not come into heat for a long time, once she comes into heat she must be mated immediately, and mated again 12 hours later. The effect is very obvious. Use a boar to stimulate the sow's estrus, twice a day, putting a boar with strong libido and white foam at the corners of the mouth together with the sow, about 20 minutes each time, then drive the boar away, as far as possible.

7. Generally, if weaned sows still don't come into heat or cannot be mated after three estrous cycles, or if gilts still don't come into heat at one year old or repeatedly fail to conceive, timely culling should be considered to avoid ineffective feeding.
