How should orchids be watered correctly? The immersion method quickly soaks the water through

Orchids have a graceful, upright posture and are rather delicate, so the correct method is also needed when watering. Generally, the most commonly used method is the immersion method, which soaks the water through very well; watering with a spray bottle allows appropriate control of the amount of water, and it is best to water only when the orchid's soil turns white. In summer and winter, the water temperature must be controlled to avoid harming the plant.
1. Immersion method
One of the correct ways to water orchids is undoubtedly the immersion method. If you cannot control the amount of water well, this method can, to a certain extent, prevent waterlogging. First place the flower pot in a basin of water, adding water until it covers 3/4 of the pot. This makes it easy to soak the water through, and it is fairly convenient and quick.
2. Watering with a spray bottle
Generally, watering directly can easily lead to overwatering by accident, harming the plant's roots. Using a spray bottle can effectively control how much water is added and has the least impact on orchid growth. Point the spout at the edge of the pot and let the water slowly seep into the soil; the speed should be slow to prevent water from overflowing the pot surface.
3. Water thoroughly when dry
Generally speaking, orchids should not be watered too frequently. Their root system is not strong at absorbing water, and once it cannot absorb the water, root rot occurs and growth is inhibited. Water thoroughly once when you see the surface of the potting soil turn white, so that the water can be fully absorbed.
4. Control the water temperature
In winter, orchids also need to be watered, but the temperature is lower at this time, and watering with cold water can easily cause cold damage and harm the plant. Therefore, it is best for the water temperature to be close to room temperature, kept at around 8°C~10°C. In summer, too high a water temperature must also be prevented, and the temperature should be controlled between 15°C~28°C.
