Pig diarrhea is not always caused by concentrated feed; these causes should also be investigated
Pig diarrhea is not entirely the fault of concentrated feed
RecommendedTechnique
To avoid the occurrence of nutritional and stress diarrhea, attention should be paid to the following points:
1. The nutrition of the feed must be complete, the mixing ratio must be reasonable, and each feeding must not be too full.
2. When mixing feed, not only should the quality of the concentrated feed be checked, but also whether energy feeds such as corn and wheat bran have become moldy and deteriorated; moldy feed must not be used.
3. Pay attention to the cleanliness and hygiene of the pen. In principle, "shovel more manure, flush less water." Clean manure once each in the morning and afternoon every day, and decide whether to flush the pen according to the situation. In winter or when the weather is cool, the number of water flushes should be reduced, but the pen should still be kept hygienic.
4. Reduce all stress factors, including the effects of nutritional stress during supplementary feeding, psychological stress during group transfer, and environmental temperature difference stress.
If the above points are done well and pigs still develop diarrhea, the cause should be identified promptly and symptomatictreatmentshould be given to reduce losses.
