How to grow cymbidium orchids so they bloom, and how to care for one just repotted

When growing cymbidium orchids, the temperature should be kept between 15-25°C, and during flowering give it a growing environment of 5-15°C. In daily care, let it receive as much sunlight as possible, but do a good job of shading in summer. Do not water it too much, because it is very afraid of waterlogging; a slightly moist state is enough. If the plant was just repotted, care for it in a ventilated, shady place and do not expose it to sunlight.

I. Proper care

1. Temperature: create a growing environment of 15-25°C for the cymbidium orchid; a suitable temperature helps it grow better. During the flowering period, it is best to keep the growing temperature at around 5-15°C, which is favorable for flowering.

2. Light: let it receive enough sunlight; plant growth and flowering definitely cannot do without light, so place it in a sunny spot in normal times. However, do not let it be hit by the direct scorching sun of midsummer, and do a good job of shading in time.

3. Water: cymbidium orchids are relatively afraid of waterlogging, so do not water too frequently, and control the amount of water well. Maintaining a slightly moist state is enough; do not let water accumulate in the soil, and water thoroughly when watering. In addition, water less or not at all in winter and on rainy days.

II. Care methods just after repotting

Right after a cymbidium orchid is repotted, it should be given a cool and ventilated growing environment, and must not be placed directly in the sunlight for care. Because the plant has not yet adapted after repotting, you should wait until it resumes growth and has adapted to the new environment, then let it see sunlight appropriately. 5-7 days after repotting, you can place it in a semi-shady environment for care.
