How to care for a Clivia (Kaffir lily) during its blooming period? Remember these care tips

When a Clivia is blooming, to ensure the plant has enough nutrients, you should fertilize it reasonably during flowering. You must not apply too much nitrogen fertilizer while the plant is in bloom. After the plant enters its flowering period, give it plenty of light, which will make the flowers a little more glossy. During flowering the plant also needs more water, so you can water it a little more frequently, and the air humidity should be slightly higher as well. In addition, loosen the soil during the flowering period to let it breathe.
1. Fertilizer
To ensure the plant has enough nutrients to support blooming, fertilize it reasonably while it is in flower. You can ferment fish innards and use them as fertilizer. You must not apply too much nitrogen fertilizer while the plant is blooming; instead, apply phosphorus or potassium fertilizer. About once or twice over the whole flowering period is enough; there is no need for more.
2. Light
After the plant enters its flowering period, give it plenty of light, but note that under strong light the flowers will be a little more glossy yet the flowering period will be shorter, while under soft light the flowering period is short and the flower color is rather dull. So growers can choose the light intensity according to their own preferences.
3. Water temperature
When the plant is blooming it needs more water, so water it more frequently at this time, and the air humidity should be slightly higher as well. The temperature of the plant's environment is best kept above 10°C, with a constant temperature of around 18°C.
4. Soil
While the plant is blooming, loosen the soil appropriately to ensure the soil's air permeability.
