What fertilizer is best for pothos? A detailed guide to fertilizing methods
I. Fertilizing time
The fertilizing time for pothos is mainly when it is growing very vigorously; specifically, it needs fertilizing in all three seasons of spring, summer and autumn.
II. Types of fertilizer
Fertilizing pothos mainly uses some liquid fertilizers, which can be bought directly from stores; these liquid fertilizers are applied by watering the roots. Whether grown in water or in soil, liquid fertilizer can be used. Besides this type of fertilizer, there is also foliar fertilizer, which also needs to be used in appropriate amounts, but foliar fertilizer cannot replace fertilizing the root system.

III. Fertilizing methods
1. Before liquid fertilizer is used, it needs to be diluted with water; after adjusting the concentration, pour it into the water or sprinkle it on the soil. Foliar fertilizer, on the other hand, is applied to the surface of the leaves, simply by spraying it directly on the leaf surface, which can make the leaves look more glossy.
2. The frequency of fertilizing can be adjusted according to the season; generally, more fertilizer is needed in spring and summer. In spring, using it once about every 10 days is better, while in summer once every 15 days is better. In autumn, not much fertilizer is needed; using it only once for the whole season can satisfy the nutrient requirements.
IV. Precautions
In winter, because the temperature is relatively low, pothos may be in a dormant state and basically has no need for fertilizer; at this time it must not be fertilized.
