How to make Chloranthus spicatus bloom more and smell stronger

Ways to make Chloranthus spicatus bloom more and smell stronger:

① Light. In early May, move the potted plant into a shade shed, with 30{bf}-40{bf} light transmission being suitable; in mid-October, move it into a medium-temperature greenhouse to prepare for overwintering, and during this period it should have plenty of sunlight.

② Humidity. Chloranthus spicatus likes moisture and requires relative air humidity between 70{bf}-80{bf}. During midsummer, in addition to taking measures to prevent heat and lower temperature and strengthening ventilation, water should also be sprayed around the potted flowers every day to increase air humidity.

③ Temperature. The suitable growth temperature for Chloranthus spicatus is around 25°C, and the overwintering greenhouse should be kept above 15°C.

④ Fertilization. Before Chloranthus spicatus forms buds, apply liquid fertilizer combining nitrogen and phosphorus 2 times; after buds appear, apply phosphorus-potassium fertilizer 2 times; after the flowers fade, apply liquid fertilizer 2 more times, and water and loosen the soil promptly after fertilizing.

⑤ Pruning. When the young Chloranthus spicatus plant grows to a certain height, pinch out the growing tips immediately to encourage side branches to sprout from the base, and stop pinching when about 20 sprouts have grown; after flowering, thin the branches appropriately, cutting off old dead branches, diseased and pest-infested branches, and weak slender branches.
