How to fertilize lilies? Choosing the right fertilizer is key
I. Fertilization timing
Lilies need a fair amount of nutrients, so fertilizing is fairly important in their care. First, when planting and potting up, you can apply a moderate amount of base fertilizer. Then, from the start of sprouting in spring, which is their growth period, they need appropriate supplementary fertilizing.
II. Types of fertilizer
The base fertilizer mainly uses solid fertilizers, such as animal manure and so on. For supplementary fertilizing, you can use some decomposed organic fertilizer; do not use raw fertilizer, you must use decomposed fertilizer.

III. Fertilization method
1. After preparing the base fertilizer and soil, mix them together, then fill them into the flower pot, and then place the plant in. Note that the amount of base fertilizer must not be too much, otherwise the plant will not easily adapt to the new environment and is also prone to root rot. When using supplementary fertilizer, you can dig open part of the soil at the edge of the pot, then put in the decomposed organic fertilizer, and cover it with some soil; the amount likewise must not be too much.
2. Fertilizing lilies can be done once every two weeks. If the lilies show obvious signs of nutrient deficiency, you can fertilize once a week.
IV. Precautions
Do not fertilize during the dormant period; dormancy may occur when the temperature is too high or too low. Also, do not fertilize when the plant is right in its flowering period.
