How to plant a pineapple top? How long until it grows a pineapple
1. How to plant a pineapple top
1. Preparing the pineapple top: Cut the pineapple top off the pineapple with a clean knife, making sure the cut is flat and even. Remove some of the leaves from the base of the pineapple top, then place it in a cool, well-ventilated spot to let the cut surface dry out.
2. Water rooting: Once the cut surface of the pineapple top has dried, prepare a bottle that does not leak. Pour clean water into the bottle, or fill it with water beads and add water halfway up, then insert the prepared pineapple top into the water and replace the clean water every two days.

3. Transplanting into soil: Once the pineapple top has rooted and the roots have grown to more than 2cm, prepare moist soil and transplant the pineapple top into the potting soil. Place it in a spot with bright, indirect light and good ventilation to let it adjust, keeping the potting soil slightly moist, until the pineapple top has successfully settled in.
4. Care after planting: Once the pineapple top has successfully settled in, move the pot to a spot with good light and give it plenty of sun. Weigh the pot by hand, and when it feels noticeably lighter, water it thoroughly. Keep the care temperature no lower than 10°C year-round, and after 2-3 years it will produce a large pineapple.
2. How long after planting a pineapple top until it grows a pineapple
Planting a pineapple top and getting it to grow a large pineapple takes a very long time. Generally, in northern regions with heating, a potted plant must be grown for at least about 3 years before it produces a large pineapple. In southern regions where it feels like spring all year round, if you plant a pineapple top, the time to produce a large pineapple is shorter than in northern regions with heating.
