Watering a clivia after repotting is mainly done in two rounds. One is when the soil in the pot has been added to more than half the pot, hold the clivia's pseudobulb with your right hand and gently lift it upward a little so the roots straighten out, then carry out the first watering.

In this way the nutrient soil can smoothly enter between the roots, avoiding a lack of soil between some roots. When the nutrient soil is filled to 2 cm from the pot rim, water again, in order to settle the nutrient soil. Both waterings should be thorough.

A newly repotted clivia needs to be placed in a cool, ventilated spot for about 10 days, to slow water evaporation, allowing the clivia to gradually recover its strength and adapt to the new potting soil. This is called "adapting to the pot." After 10 days, light can be gradually increased.

Note: after repotting, a clivia should not wait until the potting soil is dry before being watered; it should be watered when the soil is half dry, and the potting soil should be kept consistently moist, as this is more conducive to its growth and development.
