How to care for Aglaia odorata in spring

Increase light: It likes sunlight but is not tolerant of strong light. Spring sunlight is mild, so you can give it more sun exposure, which is good for its metabolism. Adjust temperature: To avoid the invasion of spring cold, ensure the growing temperature stays above 15 degrees; if the temperature is higher, cool it down. Increase watering: It is best to water according to air temperature. When it is warm, water more; when it is cool, water less. Increase nutrients: You can fertilize the soil 2-3 times a month, but note that you cannot use fertilizers with strong potency.

1. Increase light

Aglaia odorata is a green plant, and only under sufficient sunlight can it carry out normal metabolism. Spring sunlight is not strong, so it can receive all-day sunlight. In late spring, the sunlight is stronger, so you can place a shade board above it and shade it slightly when the sun is strong; it can receive light normally in the morning and afternoon.

2. Adjust room temperature

It has relatively high temperature requirements. If the growing temperature falls below 10 degrees, it will stop growing. There is more spring cold in spring, so try not to keep it outdoors for care. When caring for it indoors, ensure the temperature stays above 15 degrees, but it must not exceed 30 degrees; above 30 degrees it will also not grow. If the temperature is relatively high, you can lower the ambient temperature by opening windows for ventilation, sprinkling water around it, and other methods.

3. Increase watering

Spring is its growing season, and water is consumed relatively quickly, so the amount of watering must be increased to meet its needs. When the temperature exceeds 15 degrees, water it every day; below 15 degrees, water it two to three times a week; when the temperature is above 20 degrees, in addition to watering every day, you also need to water its branches and leaves, so that the branches and leaves do not dry out from lack of water.

4. Increase nutrients

During the growing season, the plant consumes fertilizer quite heavily, so the nutrients in the soil need to be increased for it to grow well. When choosing the type of fertilizer, choose one with relatively weak potency; it cannot absorb fertilizers with strong potency. Under normal circumstances, fertilizing two to three times a month is enough.
