What flowers are suitable for growing in Tianjin, and what are the city flower and city tree

I. Climatic characteristics of Tianjin

Tianjin is located in the northern temperate zone, on the east coast of the Eurasian continent at mid-latitudes, and has a warm temperate semi-humid monsoon climate, mainly governed by monsoon circulation, though the influence of maritime climate on Tianjin is also fairly pronounced. Judging from Tianjin's geographical location and climate, the area has four distinct seasons, with windy and rain-scarce springs, hot and humid summers, moderate warm and cool autumns, and cold and dry winters, so given Tianjin's climatic characteristics, most flowers are fairly suitable for planting locally.

III. What are Tianjin's city flower and city tree

Tianjin's city flower is the China rose, and its city tree is the velvet ash, because Tianjin has long been known as the "home of China roses," while velvet ash is the main tree species for Tianjin's street trees and residential areas, so in 1984, through citizen selection, recommendation by the Municipal Landscape Bureau and the Landscape Society, and approval by the Standing Committee of the People's Congress, the China rose and velvet ash were designated as Tianjin's city flower and city tree.
