What special requirements does the clivia have for temperature and light?

Requirements of the clivia for temperature and light ① Temperature. The suitable temperature for clivia growth is 15-25°C. Within the suitable temperature range, the higher the temperature, the faster the growth; the lower the temperature, the slower the growth. If the temperature exceeds 30°C, the leaves become thin and elongated, the veins are unclear, the flowering time is short, and the flower color is pale rather than vivid. If the temperature is below 5°C, growth stops, and the lowest critical temperature is 0°C. If kept at -10-20°C, the leaves will turn yellow. Different growth stages require different temperatures: at the sowing stage, a temperature of 25°C gives fast and high-rate sprouting; at the seedling stage, 15-18°C is favorable for root hardening; at the flower stalk emergence stage, the temperature should be higher; at the flowering stage, about 15°C is needed, which can extend the flowering period. Experiments show that a day-night temperature difference of 7-10°C is best for clivia.
② Light. The clivia is a semi-shade plant; it cannot do without light, nor can it tolerate strong light. Light in early spring, late autumn and winter is extremely important for promoting flowering and fruiting in clivia. To make the leaves arrange neatly, pay attention to the direction of the light. Try to keep the direction in which the leaves extend parallel to the direction of the light, and at the same time change the position of the pot once a week, turning the pot 180 degrees, so that the leaves will be arranged neatly and beautifully, enhancing the ornamental effect.
