How to fertilize orchids through the leaves

① Choose the fertilizer sensibly. According to the different growth stages of the orchid, and taking into account the condition of the plant's leaves, select a suitable fertilizer, so that whatever is lacking is replenished.

② Mix fertilizers scientifically. Acidic fertilizers must not be mixed with alkaline fertilizers; biological bacterial fertilizers must not be mixed with other fertilizers; when mixing neutral fertilizers, the number of types must not be too many; commercial foliar fertilizers do not need to be mixed; potassium dihydrogen phosphate can be mixed with trace elements.

③ The application concentration must be appropriate. The application concentration must strictly follow the instructions; do not increase or decrease the concentration at will.

④ The interval between applications must be appropriate. Spray once a week.

⑤ The spraying method must be accurate. The time should preferably be chosen around 4 p.m. on a sunny day; both the front and back of the leaves should be sprayed thoroughly; the droplets when spraying should be fine, and the amount used must not be excessive, with the leaves not dripping as the ideal. You can use rice water, water from rinsing milk bottles, or tea.
