How Often to Water a Clivia? The Correct Watering Frequency and Method

Do not water a clivia too frequently in everyday care; just keep the soil in a moist state, and do not let the potting soil become excessively wet. In spring, water once a day; in summer, mist around the plant appropriately, and do not water it on rainy or overcast days; in autumn, water once every other day; in winter, you can extend it to watering once a week.
Everyday Watering
The roots of the clivia have the ability to store water, so do not water too frequently, to prevent root rot, but it also must not stay in a dry state all the time.
During everyday watering, always observe the wet or dry condition of the soil. If it is on the dry side, water it; watering here means just keeping the soil in a moist state, and you must not water heavily and make it excessively wet.
Watering Through the Four Seasons
1. In spring, water once a day;
2. In summer, use a spray bottle to mist the whole plant, including the surrounding area, with a layer of water. If it is an overcast day, you do not need to water; if it is a sunny day, you can water once a day;
3. In autumn, skip a day and then water once;
4. In winter, watering once a week is enough.
Watering tips also change according to the environment at the time. For example: in winter, if it is kept indoors and the indoor air is rather dry, you can increase the watering frequency. On rainy days in summer, you can extend the watering interval, and so on.
