What is best to wipe Clivia leaves with

Clivia leaves can be wiped with cooking oil, orange peel water, or mineral water. After mixing cooking oil with water, dip a cloth in it and wipe the leaves; this makes the leaves more glossy and less likely to attract dust. Wiping with orange peel water has a pest-repelling and sterilizing effect; after wiping, wipe again with clean water. Wiping with mineral water will not harm the plant and works very well.

1. Cooking oil

Put a few drops of cooking oil from home into a basin of water, dip a soft cloth in it, and then use it to wipe the leaves of the Clivia; this has two good effects. First, it can make its leaves more glossy; second, it will not attract dust. It can also be buried in the soil, but it should not be used too often; using it about once every six months is enough. When burying it in the soil, bury it 2-3cm from the edge of the pot.

2. Orange peel water

Tear clean orange peel into pieces, soak them in water overnight, and by the next day you can wipe its leaves with it, or spray it on the leaves; it has a pest-repelling and sterilizing effect. You can also use an orange directly to wipe the leaves, but after wiping you still need to wipe again with clean water.

3. Mineral water

The safest method is to wipe with mineral water, which can be done at any time and will not cause any harm to the plant at all. After wiping with mineral water, the leaves of the Clivia will be more glossy and look highly ornamental. Distilled water can also be used, and the effect of wiping the leaves is also very good.
