Clivia watering methods: what water is best, and how often to water

For watering Clivia, you can use rainwater, tap water, rice-washing water, or magnetized water; all of these are beneficial to the plant's growth. However, before using tap water, it should be left to stand for one or two days first, and rice-washing water needs to be fermented and diluted before use. Although these types of water are quite good, do not use them too frequently. The interval between waterings is closely related to the climate, so the watering schedule cannot be fixed.
I. What water is good for watering
1. Rainwater: Collecting rainwater during the rainy season to water Clivia is very suitable. Rainwater is considered neutral water, has a relatively high oxygen content, can prevent the soil from becoming compacted, and can also make the plant grow more robust.
2. Tap water: Although tap water cannot be used directly for watering, after it has been left to stand, once the impurities in the water have settled and the chlorine has dissipated, it can also be used to water Clivia.
3. Rice-washing water: It contains many nutrients and is very helpful for the growth of Clivia. However, if you use rice-washing water for watering, it must be fermented and diluted before use.
4. Magnetized water: This type of water is also very simple to make; just put a magnet in the water for 2 days. It can make the leaves of Clivia a deeper green, and the root system will also grow more developed.
II. Watering frequency
The growing climate is directly related to watering frequency. Usually in spring, when the climate is suitable, you can water once a day; if there is rainy weather, you can water every other day. By summer, when the water requirement becomes greater, you can water 2 times a day, and you should also spray the plant with an appropriate amount of water. In autumn, watering is usually every other day, but in the late autumn in the north, less watering is needed. Winters in all regions are relatively cold; in the north, water once every 7 days, while in the south, water once every 3-4 days.
