Reasons orchids do not bloom for years and how to fix them

Internal causes of an orchid not blooming for years:
①The root system is not well developed and the plant is not sturdy. In this case, strengthen fertilizer and water management so that the orchid's roots become numerous and long, robust and disease-free, so they can absorb more nutrients and lay a good foundation for blooming.
②Planting as a single division: orchids "like to grow in clusters and fear being separated from the mother plant," so when dividing them, try not to plant them as single divisions.
External causes of an orchid not blooming for years:
①Insufficient light: give full light in winter and spring, and partial shade in summer and autumn.
②Insufficient fertilizer before blooming: apply enough phosphorus fertilizer 5 months before blooming, preferably fertilizers such as Hyponex No. 3, borax, and monopotassium phosphate.
③Insufficient watering: in autumn the potting soil is too dry, which hinders the accumulation of nutrients in the orchid and seriously affects sprouting and blooming the following year. Therefore, in autumn pay proper attention to watering and do not let the potting soil become too dry.
④Pests and diseases: promptly prevent, control, and eliminate pests and diseases.
