Why Goldfish Plant Buds Dry Up and Wither, and How to Fix It

To deal with goldfish plant buds drying up and withering, you need to treat the root cause: if water and fertilizer are improper, water once every 2 to 3 days to keep the soil moist and stop fertilizing in time to avoid burn damage; if it is low-temperature cold damage, increase warmth and protect against cold, keeping the temperature above 10°C; if light is insufficient, increase light for care; if the soil is not airy, replace it with breathable, loose soil; if branches and leaves are too dense, prune in time so it can grow better.
1. Manage water and fertilizer
When goldfish plant buds dry up and wither, pay attention to reasonable watering and fertilizing. Generally, water once every 2 to 3 days to keep the soil where the goldfish plant grows moist, but avoid waterlogging, and stop fertilizing after it begins to form buds, so that excess fertilizer does not cause the buds to keep drying up and withering.
2. Increase warmth and protect against cold. If it is caused by too low a temperature, do a good job of increasing warmth and protecting against cold. Place the goldfish plant indoors for care, and keep its growing temperature above 10°C, preferably at 15°C so it can grow and bloom better.
3. Supplement light
During the bud-forming period, the goldfish plant needs sufficient light so its buds can better carry out photosynthesis, grow and bloom. Insufficient light will cause its buds to dry up and wither. Provide the goldfish plant with about 5 to 6 hours of diffused light, so it receives enough light and stays healthy.
4. Loosen the soil and repot. In fact, if the growing soil is not airy or is too poor, it can also cause the goldfish plant's buds to dry up and wither. Replace the potting soil in time, and replant it with a mixed soil of leaf mold, peat soil and perlite in a 3:1:1 ratio, so its roots can breathe and spread.
5. Prune in time
If branches and leaves are too dense, the goldfish plant's nutrient supply will be insufficient while consumption is too high, which causes the buds to lack nutrients and dry up and wither. Use scissors to prune the dense branches and leaves in time, so nutrient consumption is controlled and the buds have sufficient nutrients and space to grow normally.
