The "drunken" flower-forcing method for clivia

Many friends, while growing clivia, often find that when they buy one and bring it home it is blooming beautifully, but after that flowering period they find it neither blooms nor puts out leaves, as if it has turned into a stunted plant. For this situation, I would like to introduce a "drunken" flower-forcing method to improve it. This method is very safe, and fellow growers can give it a try.

Clivia

The liquor must be baijiu; whether it is high-proof or low-proof does not matter. Yanghe Daqu works, Erguotou is fine too, and if you have the financial means, Moutai is also welcome. After Qingming and before late autumn, pour a cup of baijiu into the clivia pot every few days. Be careful when pouring so it does not splash onto the plant. In this way, after seven or eight days you will see results: the flower scape emerges, new leaves grow, and the stunted plant comes back to life. Treat it this way and the clivia will grow better and better, with flowers like a torch.

Note: This method is very safe, so there is no need to worry about burning the clivia to death. However, it has not been tested on other flowers and trees, so use it with caution. If you have no experience, you can apply a small amount and lengthen the interval between applications to ensure there is no mishap. At the same time, once it takes effect, you can temporarily stop using it.
