What causes a Clivia not to grow new leaves

What is going on when a Clivia does not grow new leaves

1. Insufficient nutrients

1. Cause: Only when nutrients are sufficient can a Clivia grow leaves normally. If it is not fertilized for a long time during care, it cannot obtain enough nutrients, so naturally it cannot grow new leaves.

2. Solution: Fertilize it in time. In winter and spring, apply once every 10 days; in autumn, apply once every 15 days; in summer, stop applying. Also note that it needs to be diluted first before application.

2. Insufficient sunlight

1. Cause: Its growth requires a certain amount of sunlight. If it is kept in a dark place for a long time during care, it cannot receive enough sunlight and cannot synthesize sufficient nutrients, so it will struggle to grow new leaves.

2. Solution: Move it to a position with diffused light for care. Let it receive an appropriate amount of soft, not intense sunlight every day to ensure it can smoothly synthesize nutrients.

3. Pest infestation

1. Cause: Some pests will gnaw at the growth point in the middle of the plant, which prevents it from growing new leaves.

2. Solution: Use a discarded brush to brush off the insects on both the front and back of the plant's leaves. Then spray some medicated liquid on the plant and the flower soil to kill the remaining pests.
