How to grow orchids so they sprout new shoots? Mastering these points is key

If you want orchids to grow new shoots, you can add auxin to promote the orchids' cell division and growth capacity, or accumulate more nutrients during the dormant period and create a temperature difference in the orchids' environment to prompt the sprouting of new shoots, or strengthen water and fertilizer management during the growing period, as well as use the method of division propagation.
1. Add auxin
Orchids are ornamental plants and flowers of extremely high ornamental value. If left to grow naturally, their growth rate will be very slow. So what is best? In fact, during the process of growing orchids, you can irregularly add an appropriate amount of auxin to the potting soil. This mainly promotes cell division and growth capacity, so that orchids can grow new shoots in 1 to 2 months.
2. Treatment during the dormant period
If you want orchids to grow new shoots, it is best to accumulate more nutrients during the orchids' dormant period. This is mainly done by creating a temperature difference in the orchids' environment during the dormant period. A climate with a large temperature difference is beneficial to the growth and development of orchids. When the temperature is relatively high, place the orchids in a cool environment or use artificial cooling treatment. This can prompt the plant to grow new shoots.
3. Strengthen water and fertilizer. During the vigorous growth period of orchids, watering should not be excessive; light watering should be the main approach. During spring and summer, you can appropriately spray water mist on the plant to increase the humidity around the plant, then apply a phosphorus and potassium fertilizer once every about 2 to 3 weeks, and it is best to use fully decomposed fertilizer liquid as the main type, to promote root development.
4. Division propagation
Generally, during the growth process of orchids, many side stems will grow around them. These side stems can be used for division propagation. First wash them clean with clean water, then disinfect them once with an appropriate amount of potassium permanganate solution, and then place them separately into a highly humid sand bed. They will soon grow new shoots.
