How to grow orchids well indoors

Methods for growing orchids well indoors:

①Air circulation. This is the primary condition for growing orchids well, so air circulation must be maintained at all times to improve the stuffy, stale air conditions around the orchids.

②Diffused light and humid air. The parts of the orchid exposed to sunlight need to be rotated regularly, and the space around the orchid should be misted frequently.

③Optimal root aeration and drainage. To achieve this, containers with good aeration and drainage must be chosen; coarser growing media should be used, preferably soilless culture; the growing container should have feet underneath to facilitate drainage.

④Water and fertilize at the right times. Water when the medium is dry and let it dry between waterings; for soilless culture, water once a day; for fertilizing, it is best to use slow-release fertilizers, and a liquid fertilizer should also be sprayed on the leaves once a week.

⑤Prevent and control pests and diseases regularly. A pollution-free preventive spray is needed once a month.
