Mainly, a diluted aspirin solution is used for watering, applied 2 to 3 times in late autumn and early winter to prepare the plant for overwintering.

Aspirin can be used to grow orchids

Orchids are epiphytic plants with aerial roots and have relatively high nutrient requirements for the growing medium, so it is actually possible. Because aspirin contains a large amount of trace elements beneficial to orchid growth, regular watering with it can make orchids grow more luxuriantly and can also strengthen the plant's resistance.

Before potting the orchid, take an appropriate amount of aspirin tablets. Since aspirin is difficult to dissolve in water, the tablets can be crushed into powder and placed in a container filled with clean water, then left in a cool environment to stand for about 1 to 2 days. Use the clear liquid after soaking and mix it with water to better dilute the concentration.

Let the prepared diluted solution air-dry for about a week, then apply it once when potting the orchid to enhance disease resistance. Apply it once in spring, and 2 to 3 times in late autumn and early winter, mainly to improve the resistance of the root system, prepare the orchid for overwintering, and also promote flowering.

At the same time, aspirin can also be used for orchid cuttings. During the cutting process, the stem node portion of the orchid can first be air-dried for a period, then soaked in an aspirin solution for about 5 to 7 hours. After it has fully absorbed the nutrients, insert it directly into the soil, and water frequently to keep it moist, which helps rooting.
