What to Do When a Clivia Has Buds but Won't Bloom? Causes and Solutions

The main causes are: (1) Insufficient nutrients, weak growth makes it unable to send up a flower stalk.
(2) The temperature is too low, so it cannot open.
(3) Being rained on repeatedly outdoors causes the stamens and tender leaves to rot.
Remedial measures:
(1) In April, before flowering, you should still apply a light fertilizer 2~3 times, once a week, to add nutrients and encourage full, vigorous flowers.
(2) If the temperature is too low, you can use a heated iron plate placed under the bottom of the pot to warm it and encourage the flowers to open.
(3) When the flower buds form, never let the plant be rained on; it should be placed indoors or in a sheltered spot, or by adding fertilizer, apply phosphorus and potassium fertilizer once every 2 weeks, 3 times in a row, which helps the stalk emerge and the plant bloom.
