How to convert a soil-grown clivia to soilless potting

Methods for converting a soil-grown clivia to soilless potting:

① Take out the plant. Carefully remove the clivia plant from the potting soil, being careful not to damage the roots.

② Wash the roots. Use clean scissors to cut off dead roots, yellow leaves and diseased leaves, then rinse the soil off the roots under running water, and be sure not to injure the roots.

③ Chemical treatment. If root rot is found on the roots, soak them in a 1000-fold thiophanate-methyl solution for several minutes, then take them out and dry them in the shade.

④ Planting. Plant the washed plant in a medium such as small perlite granules, water it thoroughly, place it in a shaded spot, and after it has settled in, move it to a semi-shaded spot for normal care.
