What causes the leaf edges of clivia to scorch and wither

Why do clivia leaves scorch at the edges

In summer, when the weather is hot, potted clivia kept at home often develop scorched leaf edges. This is mainly caused by high temperatures, strong light, a dry environment, and muggy conditions with no ventilation. In addition, even if some clivia are placed in a ventilated, cool, shaded spot, improper preparation of the potting soil, or the use of unfermented horse manure, can also cause scorched leaf edges in clivia. Also, if unfermented, undecomposed organic fertilizer is applied at the bottom of the pot, it easily breeds white nematodes, which causes the leaves or their edges to scorch. Remedies:

① If it is due to an improper placement environment, simply move the flowerpot to a cool, ventilated, shaded spot.

② If it is due to improperly prepared potting soil or the application of unfermented organic fertilizer at the bottom of the pot, then dig out the plant, remove all the raw fertilizer, switch to a potting soil made by mixing mountain soil and river sand evenly, and replant it in the pot.
