Little healing tips for southern blight in orchids
The onset conditions for southern blight are that acidic soil favors the disease. Its acid-base tolerance range is pH 1.9-8.4, with the optimum at pH 5.9. Precisely because of this, some orchid growers say southern blight can be treated with plant ash, and it is estimated that it can be cured when the disease is not too severe in the early stages. But my three pots of grass were also initially covered around the pseudobulbs with plant ash, a thick layer, yet the several pots of grass all died one after another. In spring I bought Lühui Lütai Su and planted them in several pots. They got southern blight and slowly all died. This was the last pot to go. With the mentality of treating a dead horse as if it were alive, I poured laundry detergent water (about seven or eight grams of water, with about one gram of laundry detergent added) onto the base of the old grass. After a few days, small shoots emerged. I had not expected anything at first, but unexpectedly it became more and more vigorous!
