Explanation of pesticide mixing category knowledge

The reasons for the effects produced by pesticide mixing are complex. At present, mixing is done according to the types of expanding the scope of control, eliminating pesticide resistance, and increasing pesticide efficacy. The main types are as follows:

1. Insecticide mixing: made by mixing two or more insecticides, and it is the most common category among mixed formulations. The mixed formulation varieties already used in China include: methamidophos-trichlorfon powder, dimethoate-trichlorfon powder, phoxim-trichlorfon emulsifiable concentrate, kangya ling, fuguo, etc. Mixed formulations should be strictly managed to avoid crude and inferior production.

2. Mixing of insecticides and fungicides: made by mixing one or more insecticides with one or more fungicides. The mixed-use forms already used in China include: fenitrothion plus isoprothiolane, dimethoate plus carbendazim, methamidophos plus isoprothiolane, etc., most of which are prepared immediately before use.

3. Mixing of insecticides and herbicides: made by mixing one or more insecticides with one or more herbicides, with relatively few varieties.

4. Fungicide mixing: made by mixing two or more fungicides, with relatively many varieties. The mixed formulation varieties used in China include: seed dressing double, metalaxyl-mancozeb, carbendazim-sulfur suspension concentrate, tuijunte, etc.

5. Mixing of fungicides and herbicides: made by mixing fungicides with herbicides, with relatively few varieties.

6. Herbicide mixing: made by mixing two or more herbicides, with many varieties. The main application formulas in China include: banvel plus 2,4-D butyl ester used in wheat fields; atrazine plus acetochlor, atrazine plus 2,4-D butyl ester used in corn fields, etc.

7. Mixing of plant growth regulators: made by mixing two or more plant growth regulators, with relatively few varieties. For example, mixing gibberellin with chlormequat, mixing gibberellin with naphthaleneacetic acid, etc.

8. Mixing of pesticides and chemical fertilizers: made by mixing different categories of pesticides with different categories of chemical fertilizers. For example, molinate mixed with chemical fertilizer, or molinate plus carbofuran plus urea applied to paddy fields; diammonium phosphate mixed with carbofuran and applied with corn, soybean and sugar beet sowing. There are also plant growth regulators mixed with chemical fertilizers, especially yield-increasing agents, pen shi bao, ye mian bao, and micro-fertilizer agents, used in the form of foliar spraying, seed soaking, seedling dipping or irrigation, with remarkable effects. For example, triacontanol mixed with urea, monopotassium phosphate, ammonium molybdate, and borax; chlormequat mixed with ammonium sulfate and applied to wheat fields as a top dressing, etc.
