What are the precautions for disinfecting plastic greenhouses?
Space disinfection should be carried out 7-10 days before sowing or transplanting. For each cubic meter, mix 4 grams of sulfur and 8 grams of sawdust evenly, place in a container and burn, preferably at 7 p.m., then keep sealed with smoke for 24 hours. Alternatively, for each cubic meter, mix 1 gram of 25% chlorothalonil and 8 grams of sawdust evenly, ignite and fumigate for disinfection.
Facility disinfection: For disinfecting greenhouse frames, equipment, tools, etc., washing or spraying with a 1:50-1:100 formalin aqueous solution is acceptable.
Soil disinfection should be based on the types of pests and diseases in the greenhouse soil, and carried out 10-15 days before transplanting. In greenhouses with severe fusarium wilt, spray or drench the bed surface or furrow surface with 100-200 times diluted formalin solution, then cover with plastic film for 5 days; after half a month, once the chemical has completely evaporated, sowing and transplanting can proceed. For other diseases, spray with 1000 times diluted solutions of 50% carbendazim, 50% thiophanate-methyl, or 70% dexon, or make into poisonous soil, spread it, and then plow it into the soil. In greenhouses with underground pests, a certain amount of insecticide can be added during soil treatment.
Furrow (pond) disinfection: In plots with severe fusarium wilt, if soil disinfection was carried out before transplanting is completed or the disinfection quality is poor, you can also disinfect within the transplanting furrow (pond) using 1.25 kg of 50% thiophanate-methyl, or 0.75 kg of 50% carbendazim, or about 1 kg of 70% quintozene per mu. The above chemicals should first be mixed evenly with 1 part powder to 100 parts fine dry soil, then spread into the transplanting furrow (pond).
