Growing habits of Tree Ice

Tree Ice is a succulent in the Crassulaceae family, a hybrid horticultural variety of Graptopetalum and Sedum, with a plant height of 15-20 cm and a plant spread of 20-30 cm. The leaves are narrowly lanceolate to linear, hard, thick and straight, broad and thick at the base, slender and pointed at the upper part, with hard spines at the leaf tips, fine dense white fuzz on the leaf surface, and split white slender fibers along the leaf margins.

Tree Ice prefers a growing environment with plenty of sunlight, cool and dry conditions, with an optimal growing temperature of 18-25 degrees. It is drought-tolerant; during the growing season the potting soil should be slightly moist, in summer water a little more and mist more often, and in winter reduce watering. Full sun, with slight shading in midsummer. It is relatively fond of fertilizer; fertilize once a month during the growing season, and stop fertilizing in early autumn. It does not have very high requirements for soil; the overall requirements are loose, breathable and well-draining. For the soil, you can use peat (sphagnum peat), gravel and perlite.
