Prevention and treatment methods for bacterial wilt in orchids

Orchid bacterial wilt: The symptoms of this disease are similar to orchid root rot, and it can also be treated with Benlate. In infected orchid plants, after the pseudobulbs and leaves wilt, the root system is usually lost. It enters the orchid body from one end of a cut rhizome; in rhizomes infected with this disease, some light purple stripes appear when they are cut.

Prevention and treatment method: Remove the infected tissue, then soak the orchid plant in a water solution mixed with "Benlate" (add one tablespoon of "Benlate" per gallon of water).
