How to raise rabbits so they grow fast

When raising rabbits, starting from newborn kits and raising them to adulthood, to reach the standard for market as quickly as possible, the rabbits need to grow a bit faster. Different breeds of rabbits grow at different rates, and different feeds also affect growth. The growing environment, weather, climate and so on all affect rabbit growth, so in order to make rabbits grow a bit faster, the following adjustments in management need to be made, and only then can rabbit growth be promoted.

1. Feed and feeding

Young, robust rabbits are mainly fed roughage with a small amount of concentrated feed; pregnant rabbits are mainly fed concentrated feed to ensure nutrition and good absorption, which can satisfy the growth of the fetuses. Young rabbits are mainly fed green feed paired with concentrated feed, which is easier to digest and promotes growth. Breeding stock are likewise mainly fed roughage and dry feed. Feed clean, mold-free feed; green feed must be washed clean and chopped before feeding, and must not be fed carrying rainwater or soil. As for feeding frequency, young rabbits are fed 5 times a day, pregnant rabbits one time less, and young adult rabbits one time less again. Dissolve 1 jin of brown sugar in 20 jin of warm water, mix it into the feed, add animal edible fungi, and feed for about a week.

2. Disinfection

Dissolve animal edible fungi at a ratio of 1 to 500, and sprinkle it over the entire breeding environment, including the farm, rabbit houses, surrounding areas and the ground, in every place that can be reached, including rabbit cages, which should also be sprinkled for disinfection, mainly to eliminate harmful bacteria and prevent bacteria from multiplying and causing infectious diseases. It is mainly sprinkled in places with excrement. At regular intervals, the rabbit cages must be cleaned, scalded with high temperature, disinfected, and the excrement washed away; clean every day, wash food residue, and disinfect the feed troughs.

3. Rearing environment

Let them out to range more and bask in the sun, which is very beneficial for growth and bones. Ranging allows them to freely eat some green feed, promoting growth, and sunbathing can supplement calcium and strengthen the bones. Then the rabbit house must be kept warm; in winter the doors and windows should be closed and heating provided. In summer there should be more ventilation, and toxic air must not be allowed to accumulate.

4. Disease and pest control

When disease occurs, first isolate and treat separately. Rabbits are prone to pneumonia; after onset they will have difficulty breathing, tilt their heads upward, cough and refuse to eat. Sometimes common diseases such as colds, diarrhea and constipation also occur. Air quality and feed are the main causes of infection, so environmental hygiene and fresh air must be ensured. Deworm on schedule to prevent harm from external and internal parasites.

Rabbits generally reach adulthood after 6 months. If you want rabbits to grow fast, the main things to look at are the rearing environment and the feeding method. Disease is a major factor affecting growth, and many diseases will stop growth, so maintaining hygiene and eliminating bacteria is the guarantee of growth.
