Uneven leaves on clivia

As a foliage plant, the clivia's greatest appeal lies in its neat, glossy leaves, but some flower enthusiasts always find that their clivia's leaves are uneven. This is mainly caused by uneven lighting, and uneven clivia leaves can be corrected.

Let's first talk about how to avoid uneven clivia leaves. During care, flower enthusiasts should often rotate the flowerpot so that all the leaves can receive sunlight.

Now let's talk about the methods for correcting uneven clivia leaves:

Method 1: Ladder-frame fixing method. Find two pieces of stiff paper (stiff plastic sheets also work; I think those plastic packaging boxes for baijiu are quite good, just the right size and length), cut them into rectangles 10 cm wide and as long as your plant, then cut out the middle to make a ladder shape. Note that the cutouts should be even and match the size of the plant. The usage is shown in the figure below:

Method 2: Light-based shaping: cut opaque cigarette foil (other opaque thick paper also works) to a length and width roughly the same as the leaf, then fold it lengthwise in half down the middle, wrap it around half of the leaf that has been pulled slanting by sunlight, and use clear tape to stick the foil to both the front and back sides of the leaf. After 10 to 15 days this way, the crooked leaf will be corrected. This method will not damage the leaf and is simple and practical.
