Control Methods for Pythium and Phytophthora in Orchids

Pythium: damages the roots and causes rot.

Phytophthora: damages the pseudobulbs and roots, and even the base of the leaves.

Control fungicides:

A. 50% Dazomet wettable powder at 4000x;

B. 20% Azoxystrobin aqueous suspension at 2000x;

C. 25% Etridiazole emulsifiable concentrate at 1500x;

D. 35% Etridiazole wettable powder at 2000x;

E. 58% Zinc Manganese Metadazone wettable powder at 400x;

F. 66.5% Propamocarb solution at 1000x;

G. 72% Zinc Manganese Kexue wettable powder at 500x;

H. 9.4% Saizuohuo aqueous solution at 3000x;

Completely excise the diseased parts and first remove the source of infection, then choose any one of the above fungicides and apply them in rotation, once every seven days, for three consecutive times.
