Control Methods for Fusarium Wilt of Orchids

Fusarium wilt of orchids: it damages pseudobulbs, the base of the stem at ground level, roots, and young leaves. Infection of pseudobulbs and roots causes black rot, while on young leaves it causes small black pin-point spots.

Control agents:

A. 25.9% Tebuconazole water-based emulsion at 3000 times dilution;

B. 50% Prochloraz-manganese complex wettable powder at 3000 to 6000 times dilution;

C. 25% Prochloraz emulsion at 3000 to 6000 times dilution;

D. 60% Copper plus Carbendazim wettable powder at 500 times dilution;

E. 65% Benomyl wettable powder at 1000 times dilution;

Thoroughly excise the diseased parts, first removing the source of infection, then choose any one of the above agents and apply them in rotation, once every seven days, for three consecutive treatments.
