Orchid Stem Rot Control Tips and Edible Fungus Pest and Disease Control Methods
Orchid stem rot is an orchid disease that causes severe losses in production, and is generally triggered by prolonged high temperature and high humidity conditions. Prevention should be the priority in production. The orchid-growing environment should be kept clean and well ventilated; before potting, the orchid, pot and growing medium must be disinfected, and the growing medium must drain well; wounds on the orchid plant should be avoided, and in particular infection caused by insects in the soil biting the pseudobulbs should be prevented, so insecticides can be applied to the soil; in production, diseased seedlings and the growing materials and pots they used should be discarded and destroyed in a centralized manner. If measures are taken promptly in the early stage of plant infection, the diseased spots can be cut away and the plant can still be retained, but because of the reduction in leaf area, flowering will inevitably be affected; if it is not discovered in time and the best period for control is missed, and given that the disease develops very rapidly, the chance of curing a diseased plant is extremely low. A fungicide + Hushu Jiangjun can be used for control. Afterwards, a plant cell immune factor can be sprayed for prevention to enhance plant stress resistance, which can cause viral DNA to break and undergo apoptosis. With strong immune function, it induces interferon and active cytokines, inhibits replication of residual virus, and promotes positive-energy ecological growth of plants.
