Koi selection and water cultivation methods, taught to you in three minutes
Is the water you use to raise koi at home the right kind? (1) Surface water: rich in dissolved oxygen, and the koi raised in it have relatively vivid colors. But it contains more impurities, is turbid, and the water quality very easily deteriorates, so it must undergo biochemical filtration treatment before use. (2) Groundwater: in the water...
Tap water is best left to stand and be treated so that the water temperature approaches the air temperature. If relatively cool tap water is used to stock koi, especially young koi, the excessive change in water temperature may cause them to catch a cold, and in severe cases they may die.

(4) Rainwater: during the process of falling, rainwater absorbs some impurities from the air, causing it to contain a variety of harmful factors, so in industrially developed areas, rainwater must be treated before use when raising koi.
(5) Distilled water: it can be obtained through distillation . Before use, distilled water should be placed in an open container and left in contact with air for several days, so that the amount of dissolved oxygen reaches normal levels before use; it should not be used directly.
