Koi Keeping Precautions and Symptoms of Koi Enteritis
What are the symptoms of koi enteritis? First, let's understand what enteritis disease is: enteritis disease, also known as rotten intestine plague, is a relatively common and widespread bacterial disease. It can harm various ornamental fish, and of course it is also very harmful to fish...

Symptoms of koi enteritis:
1. Slow movement, staying away from the group, anorexia or even loss of appetite.
2. The fish body turns black, more noticeably on the head and tail fin.
3. Red patches appear on the abdomen, and the anus is red and swollen. In the early stage, white thread-like mucus is excreted or constipation occurs; in severe cases, pressing the abdomen lightly causes bloody-yellow mucus to flow out.

Epidemic pattern and harm of koi enteritis:
It is mostly seen from April to October. It occurs in koi of all ages and in all seasons.
Prevention and treatment of koi enteritis: Dissolve 0.1-0.2 g of furacilin or furazolidone in 5 liters of water, then bathe the diseased fish for 20-30 minutes, once a day.
For prevention, antibiotic drugs such as 0.25 g of oxytetracycline, 0.25 g of tetracycline, or 0.1 g of norfloxacin can be used; the dosage is 2 capsules in 50 liters of water, bathe for 2-3 days and then change the water; splash furacilin or furazolidone solution over the whole pond, with a dosage of 0.1 g per 50 liters of water. Mix 0.1 g of furazolidone per 1 kg of fish body weight into artificial feed and feed it to the diseased fish, once a day, for 3-4 consecutive days.
