What are the main eel farming models?
With advances in farming technology, eel farming has also improved greatly, which has in turn increased the output of eel on our market. But how much do you know about eel farming models? Is eel farming still the same as before? So today we are mainly going to look at several relatively common eel farming models currently used. Let's take a look.

1. Open-air still-water farming
Open-air still-water farming is the most important method used for eel farming in our country. It uses an outdoor pond, and then uses nearby water resources such as river water to carry out farming. The most troublesome part of this method is water quality management. We need to change the water every day, and we also need to manually supplement the oxygen content in the water to improve water quality, so as to meet the conditions for eel farming. When farming, we also need to divide the eel pond into four types: grade one, grade two, grade three and fry ponds, which makes management easier. The reason open-air still-water farming is widely adopted is that its farming cost is low, which is very important for farmers, but the yield from this method is not very high, because management is relatively complicated, so the number of eels farmed needs to be reasonably controlled.
2. Soil pond farming
Soil pond farming is actually similar to what we call pond farming, but the key point of soil pond farming is that its pond bottom is soil and does not need to be built with cement. Second, when choosing a soil pond, it is best to choose a sunny place with sufficient water sources, set up drainage and water diversion systems well, and at the same time take good escape-prevention measures by enclosing it with fencing. Also, the silt in the pond should not be too deep; generally about 20 cm is suitable. Finally, before stocking, the fish pond must be disinfected. After disinfection, fertilizer is added, and after the water body has been cultivated, farming can begin. This is the most traditional farming model, and most people are believed to be relatively familiar with it.
3. Warm flowing-water farming
Warm flowing-water farming is a relatively advanced farming method at present. It uses a warm flowing-water method for farming. When farming, we must control the water temperature well, generally around 27°C, and keep the water flowing continuously, forming a gravity-fed simulated living-water method. Farming this way has the characteristics of fast growth, fewer pests and diseases, and high yield, but the construction cost is relatively large, and the professional requirements for farming technology are relatively high. Apart from water supply and water control, warm flowing-water farming and open-air still-water farming are basically similar.
4. Greenhouse still-water
Greenhouse still-water farming is a farming model opposite to open-air still-water farming, but it can also be said to be a farming method that complements open-air farming. Greenhouse still-water farming and open-air farming are basically the same in terms of farming methods and construction, with the main difference being temperature. In a greenhouse, the water temperature should be controlled at around 25°C. The survival rate of this rearing method is much higher than that of open-air farming, and the farming cycle is also much shorter.
How many of these farming models above do you know? Which farming model do you see most often in daily life? Is there any farming model you are interested in? Actually, the editor's favorite is still warm flowing-water farming, but the cost is relatively large, so the risk is also relatively large, though the profit is also very attractive.
