Plant care tips: never worry about killing your flowers again
Green plants and flowers add a lot of happiness to our lives
Most modern people keep a pot or two at home
Do you know how often these plants should be watered?
Should they be placed indoors or on the balcony?
Below is a summary of the growing
methods and precautions for green plants and flowers!
1. Spider plant

Characteristics: Spider plants can photosynthesize in dim light and can absorb more than 80% of indoor harmful gases; their ability to absorb formaldehyde is extremely strong.
Growing method: It likes warm, semi-shady and humid environments, and requires loose, fertile, well-drained soil. The potting soil should be kept on the dry side, and clean water should be sprayed on the leaves frequently; keeping the indoor temperature no lower than 10 degrees is enough for it to overwinter safely
2. Alocasia

Characteristics: It can effectively improve the home environment, purify indoor air, and give people a fresh feeling.
Growing method: Alocasia can only grow well in an environment no lower than 18°C. If the temperature is lower than 18°C, Alocasia will enter a dormant state and stop growing.
Precautions: The sap in the stems and leaves is toxic, containing calcium oxalate, hydrocyanic acid and alkaloids. Accidental ingestion can cause numbness and swelling of the tongue and central nervous system poisoning. Skin contact can cause itching, numbness and a rash. It must not be ingested by mistake or get into the eyes. Otherwise, it will cause swelling, pain and numbness, which is very uncomfortable, and in severe cases may be life-threatening.
3. Aloe

Characteristics: Aloe not only photosynthesizes during the day and releases oxygen, but also absorbs indoor carbon dioxide at night, purifying the indoor air. It purifies the home environment at all times.
Growing method: It likes sunny, warm and humid environments and is not cold-tolerant; it likes loose, fertile soil with good drainage. In summer it needs plenty of watering and frequent spraying of water on the leaves; in other seasons control the water. In spring and autumn it likes direct sunlight
4. Money tree

Characteristics: The money tree is not only beautiful, but can also regulate indoor temperature and humidity, acting as a natural "humidifier". The money tree also symbolizes wealth.
Growing method: It does not like water; spray a small amount of water every 20 days, or pour a little water into the saucer. It cannot be exposed to the sun; if it is often watered thoroughly all at once it will die, so water with care.
5. Pothos

Characteristics: Pothos also has a very strong air-purifying function and has the reputation of being a green purifier.
Growing method: It likes water; water it thoroughly once every three or four days, rarely expose it to the sun, and placing it in a bright spot is also fine.
6. Ivy

Characteristics: It not only achieves greening and beautifying effects, but also plays a role in increasing oxygen, lowering temperature, reducing dust and reducing noise. It is one of the most commonly used materials among climbing greening plants.
Growing method: Ivy is simple and easy to cultivate and manage, but it needs to be planted in a place with moist soil and good air circulation.
7. Peperomia
Characteristics: It has a certain purifying effect on formaldehyde, xylene and secondhand smoke.
Growing method: It likes a warm, humid, semi-shady environment. The suitable growth temperature is around 25°C, and it must not go below 10°C. It is not tolerant of high temperatures and requires relatively high air humidity; avoid direct sunlight. It likes loose, fertile, moist soil with good drainage.
8. Cactus
Characteristics: Cactus respiration mostly takes place at night when it is cooler and more humid. During respiration, it takes in carbon dioxide and releases oxygen.
Growing method: On a windowsill, lead wire and plastic film can be used to create a closed space with high temperature and high humidity. Under such conditions, most cacti not only grow fast but also have a glistening color.
Precautions: Cactus contains toxic alkaloids; after ingestion they act on the central nervous system and cause various hallucinations.
9. Inch plant
Characteristics: It is ever-bright in all four seasons and is a common foliage plant for greenhouses, especially suitable for hanging baskets. Inch plant has the effects of clearing heat and detoxifying, cooling blood and promoting urination.
Growing method: It is afraid of being scorched by the sun. It can endure a low temperature of 8°C, is not cold-tolerant and is afraid of heat; it can grow normally above 14°C. It requires relatively high air humidity; in dry air the leaf tips often dry out and the edges scorch.
10. Snake plant
Characteristics: Research shows that the snake plant can absorb some indoor harmful gases and can effectively remove harmful substances such as sulfur dioxide, chlorine, ether, ethylene, carbon monoxide and nitrogen peroxide.
Growing method: It likes warmth and humidity, is drought-tolerant, and likes light while also tolerating shade. It is not strict about soil, and sandy loam with good drainage is better. Its suitable growth temperature is 20-30°C, and its overwintering temperature is 10°C.
