South American white shrimp healthy aquaculture technology project successfully accepted in Dongying, Shandong

Recently, relevant experts from the Ocean and Fisheries Bureau conducted an on-site acceptance inspection of the "South American white shrimp healthy aquaculture technology" project undertaken and implemented by the Dongying District Fisheries Technology Extension Station. The acceptance team inspected the aquaculture site, reviewed the project's technical documents and original records, and carried out measurements and yield assessments.

The project began implementation at the end of 2016, with a cumulative demonstration and extension area of 550 mu. According to the yield assessment, the yield per mu was 184 kg, the average body length of the shrimp was 12.4 cm, and the average body weight was 21.1 g. All indicators exceeded the values set for the project.

By establishing a healthy aquaculture technology system for South American white shrimp, controlling harmful factors in the aquaculture environment, creating a good aquaculture ecological environment, enhancing the disease resistance of the shrimp, and improving their aquaculture yield and quality, the technical level of efficient ecological aquaculture in the Dongying District modern fishery aquaculture demonstration zone has been comprehensively raised.
