How to grow hydroponic plants? Chongqing plant rental teaches you cultivation tips
Anyone who loves hydroponic plants knows that most of the hydroponic plants on the market today belong to the Araceae, Liliaceae and Crassulaceae families, and the more common plants are pothos, anthurium, peace lily, spider plant, snake plant, and hyacinth.

In fact, some succulents can also be grown hydroponically, such as: golden barrel cactus, Sempervivum 'Guanyin Lotus', spider plant 'Variegatum', Calathea makoyana, and Haworthia.

And if you want hydroponic plants to grow well, the editor believes the most important thing is to "remove the soil and wash the roots" of the plant, otherwise it will affect the normal growth of hydroponic plants and lead to infestation by pests and diseases. Next comes care; daily water changes, cleaning, pruning of branches and leaves, and removal of rotten roots are the keys to the survival of hydroponic plants.

1. Remove soil and wash roots. Take the selected plant out of the soil, shake and pat it gently, then soak it in clean water for 15-20 minutes, then gently rub and wash the roots with your hands, changing the water and rinsing 2-3 times, until the roots are completely free of soil.
2. Choose a container. According to the variety, form, size, flower color and other conditions of the hydroponic plant material, choose containers such as round glass tanks, glass bottles, and glass basins.
3. Put it in water. Put the washed plant with its roots into the chosen container, and fix the roots in place. You can choose simple and attractive stones such as colored stones or Yuhua stones.
4. Temperature. The optimal temperature for hydroponic plant growth is 5-30°C. Above 35°C, most plants enter a dormant state, and at this time spraying water should be stopped. Chongqing summers are hot, so outdoor hydroponic plants should be moved indoors to cool down.
5. Light. That is, natural light coming in through the window; in summer, avoid direct sunlight.
6. Nutrient solution. For plants that have just been set up for hydroponics, it is not advisable to add nutrient solution immediately. They should be kept in clean water for 10-15 days, and after the plants have adapted to the hydroponic environment, then add nutrient solution specially for hydroponics.
7. Change the water. In general, change the water once every 5-10 days in spring and autumn; about once every 5 days in summer; and once every 10-15 days in winter. Note that when changing the water, please expose half or one third of the plant's roots.
8. Cleaning and hygiene. Every time you change the water, rinse the plant's roots and container with clean water, and trim dead branches, withered leaves and rotten roots, so as not to pollute the hydroponic environment.
9. Moisture retention and warmth. When the climate is dry, sprinkle the leaf surface with clean water to maintain humidity. You can choose a small spray bottle for spraying, preferably 2 times a day. When the indoor temperature is below 5°C, be careful to keep the plants warm.
Basically, as long as you pay attention to these points, your hydroponic plants can be considered successfully grown. What are you still standing there for? Take action now.
