Farming well does not mean success. Lately, friends keep telling me that they are going to lose money again this year? Can't make any money? There's no price at all? I also went to their farms to learn and exchange ideas, and after going to the farms I was shocked! To be honest, they were farming much better than me, and I was puzzled why things had ended up this way! After asking around and talking with them, I think the key to crawfish farming lies in the selling price! It lies in how you manage!

Personally, I think crawfish farming technology is actually relatively simple among aquaculture! You could say there are no technical requirements at all! Basically any farmer can succeed at farming! But succeeding at farming yet failing to make money, let Xiao Li talk about it!

1. Farming well is not as good as selling well!

Many farmers can't get a good price for their crawfish, and it's true they can't make money! To sell at a good price you need to research and study the market. Only when the market is good can you make money, because after all the price is set by the buyer, not the seller!

The same crawfish at different times and places can differ by more than twenty yuan, which means that for the same one thousand jin of crawfish, others sell for twenty thousand yuan more than you! Many friends don't know the price market and most of the time just sell to vendors in small towns, and the vendors make all the money!

Next is the choice of size and grade. The premise is still that you need to understand the market. At what time and for what size grade the crawfish price is good, that's what kind of crawfish we choose to sell! When choosing sizes, you must strictly enforce this and never pass off inferior goods as good, otherwise buyers will drive the price down, and with no other option you sell to them, causing unnecessary losses!

2. Sell high and buy low!

Any commodity must follow the rule of selling high and buying low, and crawfish farming is the same! When crawfish prices are good, it is generally March to May. At this time we should catch and sell as many crawfish as possible! Even if it's only one or two hundred jin a day, we should not mind the trouble and catch and sell all sizes! The earlier it is, the better the crawfish market price, so we must ensure we have crawfish to sell in March! The premise is that you can only stock fry first or stock seed stock before the new year! For example, this year many people thought the fry price was high and chose to wait. In fact, the people who made money this year were indeed the friends who bought fry at a high price, because their market-size crawfish have already all been sold off while prices were high!

The money has all been made and is in their pockets! Those who waited could only watch and waste time, miss opportunities, talk about fry prices, and watch others make money! Starting at the end of May, try to clear the pond and lower the bottom, and do water-changing operations! Then restock part of the fry. After all, in June and July crawfish prices are relatively low, crawfish grow fast, pond load is low, and relatively the farming cost is also lower! At this time, a small loss is a gain! Wait for a wave of opportunity in September and October!

3. Cost control!

Crawfish are omnivorous animals and grow fast! So when choosing feed, you can follow the local market and choose crops as much as possible, such as soybeans and wheat! Buy and store them when prices are low! Xiao Li's farm currently does not put in any commercial feed for farming crawfish, only using soybeans! Whatever 26 percent protein, 28 percent protein, 32 percent protein on the market, Xiao Li hasn't used any of it. I'm a farmer with no education, and I simply don't understand anything about how much protein!

Whatever you say it is, that's what it is. I only know soybeans have the highest protein, and there's no faking that at all! There are so many tricks, and after saying this I'll probably get flamed! Next is aquatic plant management. This must be put first. I've said this many times so I won't say it again. This is the best feed because it costs nothing. Control the aquatic plant coverage density at about 60 percent of the total pond area. When there is too much, remove it manually, and when there is not enough, replenish it promptly.
