How can laying hen farming maximize profits?
In laying hen farming, whether it is a large company or a small independent farmer, everyone's ultimate goal is the same, and that is profit. But the final profit varies greatly, which is what is called "same trade, different profit." How can you earn more money? Here is a simple analysis.
Chicks are very important. Everyone knows this, which is why in recent years large hatcheries' chicks are expensive and sell well. Chicks from large hatcheries have good laying performance and a long peak period.
Use high-quality feed. Although the feed is expensive, the feed-to-meat ratio and feed-to-egg ratio are clearly better than cheap feed.
Water quality is of paramount importance. The quality of water can make a profit difference of 7 to 8 yuan per chicken. This is not alarmist talk. The condition of a chicken's intestinal tract determines the laying rate, the duration of the peak period, and the chicken's antibody level.
The feed particle size should not be too large or too small. If too large, the chickens fling feed around and cause waste; if too small, there is a lot of dust and the chickens are prone to respiratory disease. So medium-sized sieve mesh is best, and it is even better to add oil, which not only reduces dust but also better protects the intestinal tract.
Epidemic prevention cannot be careless. In the past, vaccination was done once every two months, but now that is not enough. Now ordinary vaccines are effective for only about one month, but imported vaccines can last up to two months and reduce stress by one fewer vaccination. In addition, disinfect daily and do good prevention work, preventing disease before it occurs. If disease occurs, treat it promptly to reduce losses to a minimum.
Grasp the appropriate timing for selling eggs. When prices rise, hold eggs back appropriately.
Pay attention to raw material prices and weather changes. When soybean meal is low-priced, you can place orders appropriately. Pay attention to weather forecasts and stock up appropriately on corn before continuous rainy weather. If continuous rain lasts half a month to twenty days, a rise of 400 per ton of corn is entirely possible.
Seize the timing for culling chickens.
Do preparation work before culling chickens. A chicken's intestinal contents in one day plus the feed in its crop should be about half a jin; do not underestimate this half a jin.
Be meticulous during the culling process. There are now very deep tricks in culling chickens. A 4.2-jin chicken being weighed as 3.8 jin is very normal, or even lower.
If you have sufficient funds, you can do futures trading and hedging to lock in profits in advance, so that the off-season is not off-season.
The scale of farming should match your own ability and funds.
Pay close attention to local farming and environmental protection policies, so that you are not forcibly phased out before the chickens are even raised.
If you know all of the above, then all that remains is persistence. Institutionalize all of this and stick with it.
