Quail Farming Tips: How to Improve the Survival Rate
We have all eaten quail eggs, and quail eggs are produced by quail, so in order to increase quail egg production, we must first improve the survival rate of quail farming. Secondly, quail have high nutritional value and are a relatively rare specialty farming project in China, and quail are also very popular on the market now. To improve the economic benefits of quail farming, it is necessary to increase quail production. But how do we improve their farming survival rate? Below are a few tips the editor wants to share today; interested friends can take a careful look.

1. Choose High-Quality Quail Chicks
The selection of quail chicks is the foundation for successful farming. Because quail farming is very popular, many quail chick sellers have appeared on the market, but some do not have legal certificates and also provide no guarantees for the quail, which will have a major impact on later quail farming. So we should buy from legitimate bases, then select quail chicks that are of excellent quality, free of pests and diseases, have epidemic-free certificates, are not inbred, and have good reproductive capacity. Quail bought this way adapt to the environment faster and are easier to raise successfully.
2. Scientific Feeding
Scientific feeding methods are the key to improving the survival rate of quail farming. If the quail have just hatched, we should give them water before their first feed, and then provide water reasonably according to their age in days after hatching, which can improve the quail's immunity. Secondly, after the first feed, we must ensure balanced nutrition and use feed that is easy to digest, easy to absorb, and nutritionally complete. Finally, the feed should not be too coarse, and we should reasonably control the number of feedings according to the quail's different ages in days, generally around four to eight times, and control the amount of feed.
3. Temperature Management
Temperature not only affects breeder quail, but also has a great impact on meat quail and the hatching of quail eggs. In addition, the temperature in the breeding site must not fluctuate up and down; it needs to be relatively stable. Secondly, quail of different ages in days have different temperature requirements. Generally, the best growing temperature for quail is between 20 and 25 degrees, while quail 1 to 3 days old usually need a temperature of 38 to 39 degrees, those 4 to 6 days old need 36 to 37 degrees, and those 7 to 10 days old need a temperature of around 35 degrees. As the age in days increases, it can gradually return to the best farming temperature.
4. Light Regulation
The duration of light also affects the survival rate of quail. It can improve the absorption of nutrients and also play a role in supplementing calcium. Generally, quail 1 to 10 days old should normally have 24 hours of light. Then, as the quail grow, we can gradually adjust the light duration to 18 hours of light. After 30 days of age, the light duration can gradually return to normal, but it is best not to be less than 12 hours of light.
5. Daily Cleaning
Daily management is also a very effective method. What we need to do is carry out timely sanitation cleaning during routine management to keep the breeding site clean and tidy. Secondly, we should disinfect the breeding site from time to time to prevent bacteria, pathogens, and the like from infecting the quail and affecting their normal growth, thereby reducing the harm of pests and diseases to quail from the root.
The methods above are the simplest and most practical ways to improve the survival rate of quail, and I hope they can help friends in need.
