What kind of growing environment is suitable for cherry blossoms?

It prefers a warm, moist, slightly dry environment. It requires ample sunlight, is not tolerant of shade and dampness, is not tolerant of saline-alkaline soil, and dislikes waterlogging; it is cold-hardy and drought-tolerant, and during the flowering period it fears strong winds and smoke and dust. It is suitable for growing in loose, fertile, well-drained slightly acidic or neutral sandy loam.

Light and temperature: the suitable growing temperature is 18-20°C. Whether planted in the ground or in pots, it should be placed in a sunny spot. In winter, after potted cherry blossoms are brought indoors, they should be placed in a wind-sheltered, sunny place with good light, otherwise they will grow poorly. In the Central Plains region they can overwinter safely outdoors; in the Beijing area, young plants and newly planted seedlings need cold-protection measures and gradual acclimation, and the planting micro-environment should have a certain humidity, which is beneficial to the normal growth and development of cherry blossoms. Once newly planted plants have stable growth and development, their adaptability to low temperatures gradually increases, that is, their cold resistance increases.
