Below we introduce the fifteen key points for year-round disease prevention summarized in our practical work.

1. Newly introduced rabbits should be raised in isolation and observed for 35-40 days, and only mixed into the group when disease-free.

2. Set up a disinfection pool at the entrance of the rabbit house, place sawdust moistened with 2% naoh inside, cover it with palm fiber or old burlap, and disinfect when entering and leaving.

3. When entering the rabbit house, change shoes and wear work clothes; before mixing feed, feeding, catching rabbits, and shearing wool, and after treating rabbit diseases, wash hands with disinfectant solution, such as 3% lysol or 0.1% benzalkonium bromide.

4. Clean the rabbit house monthly, and wash the feed troughs and water boxes daily; do not use sour, rotten, or leftover feed again.

5. Do not feed rotten, spoiled, moldy, frost-damaged forage or dewy grass. The rabbit farm must have convenient water supply and drainage, and clean drinking water.

6. From 20-70 days of age, continuously feed young rabbits chlorophenylguanidine to prevent coccidiosis, 10 mg each time daily or 30-60 ppm mixed into the feed.

7. Once a week, wash the feet of breeding rabbits, young adult rabbits, and baby rabbits once with 1% trichlorfon.

8. In April-May and October-November each year, inject the combined vaccine against pasteurellosis and rabbit plague; after weaning, baby rabbits should be injected with rabbit plague vaccine.

9. Inspect the rabbit farm once in the morning and once in the evening, and add enough water at noon.

10. The bedding straw prepared for the doe before giving birth must be clean, soft, and dry.

11. Carry out major disinfection of cages, premises, and equipment once every two months or once a month.

12. Outsiders may not enter the rabbit house without permission.

13. Prevent dogs and cats from entering the rabbit house, and carry out regular rodent control.

14. Isolate and treat sick rabbits promptly when found.

15. Deeply bury or burn the carcasses of sick rabbits.
